How to get it
Castle Dimitrescu, Attic (RF), ch04: on the chair in the SW room, right on your way to the roof, after the 5-bells puzzle. It takes 12 slots: make room first (the lift below goes down to the Merchant's Room). If you leave it, the Duke sells it from the Altar (ch05).
Verdict
Worth its 12 slots from ch04 to the end: its ammo is plentiful and power climbs fast (600 → 1,000 for 53,000 Lei).
Buy power first. Rate of fire and reload matter little on a bolt-action.
Where it shines: - Lady Dimitrescu, flying phase: shoot her body; a good hit crashes her onto the tower and leaves her open. - Samcă on the castle rooftops and at Moreau's Laboratory. - The Stronghold approach and Heisenberg on foot: run far, turn, shoot him in the face. - Miranda in her spider form, at range.
Ammo: about 113 placed rounds (Lockpick drawers in Opera Hall 2F ×6 and West Old Town Farmer's House ×7; Tower of Worship barrels ×15; Factory Back Yard ×12 + ×8). Recipe: Sniper Rifle Ammo (4,000 Lei, from the Vineyard): 2 Gunpowder + 1 Rusted Scrap + 1 Chem Fluid = 4. The Duke sells single rounds for 1,000 Lei from the Altar on.
The Handcannon PZ uses the same ammo. Sharp Shooter challenge: 80 sniper-rifle kills (12,000 CP).
