Hemolytic Injector

Type: Special items
Chapter: 3 · Care Center: Main Building

Where

Only 1 pre-made: on the white desk on the east side of the Examination Room (ch03). Not on Insanity. The rest are crafted.

Effect

Press ZR behind an enemy that hasn't seen you, or on a staggered or downed one: it dies instantly. Works on zombies, the Chef, staggered Blister Heads and Licker β2. Injected into a corpse, it stops it mutating into a Blister Head. An alerted enemy is only staggered.

Recipe

Scrap + 60 Infected Blood

Blood Specimen (Denatured) recipe. It hits Chunk hard: 3 kill him. The back-turned zombie just left of the Examination Room injector is your first shot at the Fatal Dose trophy. IGN advises crafting injectors over bullets while you still have ammo. The Double Mutation file explains Blister Heads.
