Shotgun

Leon and Helena, Leon Chapter 1 (1-4 The Town): open the family house's back door with the Backdoor Key; in the alley it's on the dead riot policeman. If you missed it, it turns up in 1-5 Gun Shop, on the shelves next to the entrance door.

Jake and Sherry, Jake Chapter 4 (4-4 Shopping District): climb the apartment building's stairs (at the top of the fourth flight there's a chest with 4,000 SP); at the top, in the lockers on the left, before the walkway drops you. No second spot.

Leon's main weapon from Leon Chapter 1 and the best close-range gun against zombies: always take it.

• More close-range damage (180 vs 170 per pellet) and one more shell than the Assault Shotgun, but slightly less at range (140 vs 150) and slower.
• With Firearm Lv3 on Normal, one point-blank blast kills a Bloodshot.
• Shrieker: shoot the throat sac when it swells red. The bus Whopper (end of Leon Chapter 1): go for the head.
• Jake and Sherry get it late; use it on Strelats and on the Ubistvo's escorts.
• In split-screen each player takes their own copy at the same spot.
• Shotgun Master (1,000 shotgun kills) and Infinite Shotgun.
• The Mercenaries: Leon (default) and Chris (costume 1).
