Achievements

Every achievement/trophy with its exact condition and a tip. On consoles without an achievement system, treat them as optional challenges.

Platinum0/1

RESIDENT EVIL 6 Platinum TrophyEarn the other 50 base-game trophies. It's the PlayStation platinum: Xbox and Steam don't have it.Besides this list, the game keeps the **Records**, the medals, dog-tag titles (Dog Tags), Serpent Emblems and figures. The 20 trophies of the DLC modes (Onslaught, Survivors, Predator and Siege) are **not** needed. Nothing is lost for good: every cleared chapter comes back through **Chapter Select**, and you can start at any checkpoint you've already passed. Plan for a split-screen pair: - **Prelude** (it plays by itself the first time you boot the game), then customize your dog tag from the menu: The Longest Night and Check Out My Dogs. - **All 4 campaigns on Normal**, Ada last. Break every Serpent Emblem as you go and do the 4 chapter challenges when you reach them: I Prefer Them Alive (Leon Chapter 2), Flying Ace (Chris Chapter 4), Hard Choice (Jake Chapter 4) and Sneaking Around (Ada Chapter 4). That gives Normal Is Good and Green around the Ears. - **Swap characters**: the Hydra (Stuntman) is Helena's, the Anti-Materiel Rifle (Bring the Heat) is Piers' and the Stun Rod (High Voltage) is Sherry's. - **After all 4 campaigns**: buy the Infinite skills, farm SP for Mad Skillz (954,000 SP) and play **Professional** with Firearm Lv3, Defense Lv3 and an infinite weapon. Professional also gives Back in My Day. - **The Mercenaries** in split-screen (Duo) to pile up medals (Covered in Brass) and unlock Helena, Piers and Sherry. In split-screen the save belongs to player 1. No source says whether player 2's kills add to the counters: for a character-specific challenge, have player 1 pick that character. Emblems broken by player 2 do count (Fandom; unconfirmed on Switch).

Gold0/2

Leave It to the ProComplete the entire game on Professional."The entire game" means the 20 chapters of the 4 campaigns. Difficulty is set per chapter in Chapter Select: you don't have to play them in a row or in order, and Chapter Select and Records show the highest difficulty you've cleared each one on. It's unclear whether the Prelude counts too: replay it on Professional to be safe (it's short). According to one achievement guide, Professional is open from the start. It stacks downwards: it also gives Back in My Day, Normal Is Good and Green around the Ears. No Hope has no achievement. What changes (partial sources): - You take far more damage: one guide estimates 250% of Normal, and Fandom says a clean hit takes at least 2 blocks. Your damage drops to ×0.8 (single source). - Enemies are smarter, get up faster after a stagger and mutate more often. They rarely drop items and, per Fandom, **never Green Herbs** (unconfirmed). - QTEs give less time and mash QTEs fill more slowly. Turn on **Action Button Assist: Auto** (Options > Game Settings): it handles almost every QTE and no source says it blocks achievements. Setup: **Defense Lv3 + Firearm Lv3 + Infinite Magnum** (Leon and Jake) or **Infinite Shotgun** (Chris and Ada), in skill sets you swap with − without pausing. The infinite weapon only works if the **Infinite Ammo** option is set to Allow when the chapter starts. In co-op you play on the host's difficulty. If you die, you go back to the checkpoint with full health. Worth 90G.
Mad SkillzMax out all the skills that allow you to level up.These are the 12 levelled campaign skills, **954,000 SP** in total: - Firearm: 12,000 / 29,000 / 75,000 (116,000) - Melee: 10,000 / 25,000 / 75,000 (110,000) - Defense: 3,200 / 28,000 / 80,000 (111,200) - Lock-On: 2,800 / 31,000 (33,800) - Rock Steady: 3,500 / 33,000 (36,500) - Critical Hit: 3,500 / 13,000 / 32,000 (48,500) - Piercing: 12,000 / 28,000 / 55,000 (95,000) - J'avo Killer: 3,000 / 25,000 (28,000; appears after 30 J'avo kills) - Zombie Hunter: 3,000 / 25,000 (28,000; appears after 30 zombie kills) - Combat Gauge Boost: 70,000 / 90,000 (160,000) - Recovery: 10,000 / 70,000 (80,000) - Field Medic: 12,000 / 95,000 (107,000) Field Medic does nothing in split-screen but still counts: leave it for last. Buy **Item Drop Increase** (3,500) early: more items and more SP. Where to farm. Always wait for "Saving..." to disappear before you quit: quit earlier and you go back to the last save and lose what you picked up. - **Jake Chapter 4, 4-3 Poisawan - Shopping District**: the boxes at the start give 7,000 SP in under 1 minute (GameWith). Go through the door, wait for the save, quit and repeat: about 140 runs for the lot. - **Leon Chapter 4, 4-4 or Chris Chapter 3, 3-5 (Medical Research Center)**: win the race and open the cases: 14,000 SP in 6-7 minutes. - **Chris Chapter 5, 5-1**: the round room with the timer. Each lever sends 2 cocoons down the conveyors: up to 10 B.O.W.s dropping 1,500 or 2,500 pieces. About 20,000 SP in 8-10 minutes, and it feeds B.O.W.s Are Ugly. - **Ada Chapter 2, 2-3 Underground Lab** (on Amateur): the Whoppers behind the bars, the one climbing the ladder, another after the grapple, and the Napads from the door (one leaves a box with 4,000). 24,500 SP per run (single source). On No Hope every piece is worth double, but skills don't work there. Worth 90G; only 4.3% of Steam players have it.

Silver0/7

Normal Is GoodComplete the entire game on Normal. It comes with the pair's first run: the 20 chapters of the 4 campaigns on Normal or harder. It also gives Green around the Ears. What counts is the difficulty you clear each chapter on. If you played one on Amateur (for a challenge, say), replay it on Normal from Chapter Select. Records and Chapter Select show which one is missing. Worth 30G.
Back in My DayComplete the entire game on Veteran. It stacks downwards and Professional gives it too: if you're going to play Professional, skip Veteran. If you want a middle step: on Veteran you take about 150% of Normal damage and deal ×0.93 (single source, approximate). Bring Defense Lv2 or Lv3 and Firearm Lv2. Worth 30G.
HeirloomsCollect all the serpent emblems. There are 80 Serpent Emblems, **4 per chapter** (20 per campaign). One shot or one hit breaks them and they count **on the spot**: you can quit right away without reaching a checkpoint. Chapter Select lets you pick the exact checkpoint, break the missing one and quit. The ones only one character can reach (that player should stay alert): - Chris Chapter 2 #6 and Chris Chapter 4 #16 (in a tire on the deck, on a timer): **Piers**. For #6, two sources say Chris can hit it too. - Jake Chapter 1 #3 (the room above the toilet) and Jake Chapter 4 #13 (neon sign, during the motorbike slow-mo, before you shoot the tanker): **Sherry**. For #3, other sources say Jake can do it with a grenade. - Jake Chapter 3 #9: **Jake**, through gun camera 3. In split-screen, an emblem player 2 breaks also counts for player 1 (Fandom; online each player breaks their own). Tracking: Records and Special Features > Collections (one row per chapter, one column per emblem in order of appearance). Each emblem unlocks a file, and the sets unlock figures. Worth 30G.
Rising UpEarn a level-four title.Dog-tag titles have 1 to 4 stars. Play Game > Dog Tags > Titles shows your progress (for example, "kill enemies 251/300"). The achievement pops the next time you open Dog Tags. The most natural one is **My Skills**: it gains a star at 10,000 / 50,000 / 100,000 / **200,000 SP** earned, and you'll pass 200,000 easily while saving SP for Mad Skillz. Others with a known threshold: Newbie (5 / 15 / 50 / 100 h of play) and Skill Collector (10 / 20 / 40 / 80 skills unlocked). Most titles have no documented thresholds. Worth 30G.
Covered in BrassEarn 150 different medals.Medals come at the end of a chapter or match, in every mode: campaign, The Mercenaries, Agent Hunt and the DLC modes. The story of the 20 chapters gives about 60 that come by themselves (the copper ones and 4 bronze ones). The rest you have to go for: - Rank medals: accuracy, deaths, time and kills, from A to D. - General challenges: clear a chapter using only a handgun, shotgun, magnum, sniper rifle, MP-AF, assault rifle, grenade launcher, physical attacks or grenades (silver each); without reloading, or without picking up ammo or health items (silver); without physical attacks, grenades, healing or any skills equipped (bronze); without taking damage (gold); kill 50 enemies with a knife (gold). - Each chapter's own medals, such as winning the Leon Chapter 4 and Chris Chapter 3 races, downing the 3 helicopters with the VTOL's cannon (Chris Chapter 4) or shooting 10 J'avo off their motorbikes (Jake Chapter 4). - **The Mercenaries** has 44 medals of its own and plays in split-screen. For the "without..." ones, pick a short chapter on Amateur. The total is unclear: 264 per one guide, about 304 on Fandom. Worth 30G.
Weapons MasterUse all the weapons in the game and kill ten enemies with each of them. One of the three rarest base-game achievements (2.2% on Steam, tied with Sneaking Around and Heirlooms). Progress is in **Records**. The 22 weapons and who carries them: - Nine-Oh-Nine: Chris, Jake - Wing Shooter and Survival Knife: Leon - Picador and Hydra: Helena - Shotgun: Leon, Helena, Jake, Sherry - Lightning Hawk: Leon, Helena - Assault Rifle RN: Leon, Helena - Semi-Auto Sniper Rifle: Leon, Helena, Chris, Piers - Assault Rifle for Special Tactics and Combat Knife: Chris - Assault Shotgun: Chris, Piers, Ada - Grenade Launcher: Chris, Piers - MP-AF and Anti-Materiel Rifle: Piers - Elephant Killer: Jake, Sherry - Triple Shot and Stun Rod: Sherry - Sniper Rifle: Jake, Sherry, Ada - Bear Commander: Jake, Sherry, Ada - Ammo Box 50 and Crossbow: Ada Another guide counts 25, adding the Hand Grenade, the Incendiary Grenade and the Gun Turret: get 10 kills with each just in case. Starting weapons belong to their owner only, so **swap**: each of you should play a while as Helena, Piers and Sherry. Keep the scarce-ammo guns (Elephant Killer, Anti-Materiel Rifle, Lightning Hawk) for finishing off weak enemies. Worth 30G.
B.O.W.s Are UglyDefeat 100 enemies that have come out of a chrysalid.Enemies born from a cocoon (Chrysalid) count: Napad, Strelats, Gnezdo and others, mostly in Chris's campaign from Chris Chapter 2 on. **Breaking the cocoon before it hatches doesn't count**: let them come out. Many are weak to the Flash Grenade. Farm: **Chris Chapter 5, 5-1**, the round room with the timer (about 3-4 minutes into the chapter; Amateur is fine). Each lever, or a J'avo pulling it, sends 2 cocoons down the conveyors: up to 10 B.O.W.s per run. Kill them all, go through the next door, skip the cutscene, wait for "Saving..." to disappear, quit and repeat from Chapter Select. That's 8-10 minutes a loop and about 20,000 SP. Worth 30G.
