How to get it
Leon and Helena, Leon Chapter 3 (3-1 Altar Corridor): inside a closed sarcophagus on the path that curves left, at the start of the catacombs, before the first spinning-blade trap (opening them in order it's usually the 3rd; it can vary). If you missed it: 3-3 Cavern, stuck in the stone pillar right after you cross the first bridge.
Verdict
A good mid-range rifle for the rest of Leon's campaign; fire short bursts because of the recoil.
- The most powerful assault rifle and the one with the lowest crit.
- With it equipped, Leon's and Helena's strikes, stomp and physical attack become bayonet stabs, which raise melee damage.
- Quick Shot: a 3-round burst.
- Leon Chapter 4 (4-5 Train): there's plenty of 5.56mm lying around for the train beast; it's a good pick there.
- AR Ammo Pickup Increase, Assault Rifle Master and Infinite Assault Rifle cover it.
- The Mercenaries: Leon (costume 1).
