How to get it
Leon. First ones: Chunk drops one in the Attic (ch04; Evil Resource and IGN say 1, Game8 says 2) and another sits on the Director's Office desk (ch04). Then: the Chapel silver case (ch07) and many cases in Raccoon City and the ARK. Craft it from 1 Scrap + 2 Gunpowder (Large); on Standard gunpowder first appears in East Raccoon City (ch09).
Verdict
Always carry at least one: crowds, Blister Heads, the descending platform in ch09 and Victor's last phase.
- The Supply Box does not sell grenades: it only buys them (1,000). Find or craft them.
- Picking up the first one unlocks the grenade and stacked-grenade recipes.
- Raccoon City BSAA Zombies sometimes hold a primed grenade: shoot it in their hand.
- In the ARK, IGN and PowerPyx use them on the Elite Guards; Game8 and IGN keep one for Victor's last phase.
