How to get it
Old Man's House (Grigori's house), ch02: stuck in the table by the kitchen doorway. It can't be missed or sold.
Verdict
Always on you and free: use it on crates, flour sacks and downed enemies to save bullets.
- ZR swipes; hold ZL to switch to a stab. Guarding cancels the pause after a swipe.
- Interact with anything breakable and Ethan pulls the Knife and hits it by himself. Crates and barrels with yellow paint hold Lei, ammo or materials.
- It is used automatically in the final fight against Miranda.
Knives Out (70,000 CP challenge): finish the story with close-combat weapons only. Eight moments force you to shoot (the 5 bells, Cassandra's wall, Heisenberg's tank phases, among others); for that run the Karambit Knife is the better blade.
