Tactic
A giant Lycan that patrols a path and, once it sees you or you shoot it, charges to grab you. It doesn't fit through doors or windows: get inside a building, let it get stuck clawing at the opening and punish it there, without standing right at the door (it grabs you and throws you out). It can climb onto roofs. Its grab can be blocked with no damage and a shotgun blast breaks up its long-range attacks. Put Mines at the openings. If you are short on supplies, sneak past. As Chris, Flash Grenades stop its sprint.
Drops
Crystal Beast (20,000).
7,000 HP. At Standard's starting rank, 2 un-upgraded M1851 Wolfsbane shots kill it. One of Chris's Hand Grenades does 5,400 before the difficulty factor. 4 encounters in the campaign and 5 on Village of Shadows (one more in East Old Town), not counting the Alfa.
