Walkthrough
The King of Red Lions, a talking boat, carries you to the Forsaken Fortress to rescue Aryll. This first visit is pure stealth — you don’t have a sword or shield yet.
- Avoid the Peahat guards’ searchlights and the spear-wielding Moblins — getting caught teleports you straight out of the fortress.
- Use shadows and side corridors to slip around guards.
- Map room on the ground floor: clear the barrels and step on the hidden switch to open the cell holding Piece of Heart #1.
⚠️ Get spotted three times in a row and you’re kicked out of the whole fortress — you’ll have to sail back and start the infiltration over.
Keep climbing until you find Aryll and two other girls caged up — you can’t free them yet. A cutscene reveals Tetra, the pirate captain, and confirms the Helmaroc King is working for someone else. The visit ends with an escape aboard the King of Red Lions.
Back on Outset Island, your grandma gives you Bombs and sends you to rescue the girls properly — but first, the King of Red Lions points you toward Windfall Island for help.

- Piece of Heart #1 — map room, behind the barrels’ hidden switch.
- Bombs — gift from Grandma when you return to Outset Island.
- The King of Red Lions becomes your permanent boat from here on.
