A blank canvas

Unlike the other four base areas, Palette Town isn’t a ruined former city — it’s three vacant islands set aside for free-form play, reached via Cycling Road from Withered Wasteland. It’s non-postgame content — you can visit it in the course of the main story, not just after credits — but the walkthrough sources describe it as “a bit of a blank canvas” you can develop however you like. Professor Tangrowth is confirmed to appear in every base area except this one; instead, an Eevee greets you here, looking for its own evolutions.

What’s confirmed here

Recruiting Eevee kicks off a chain of tasks to find all eight of its evolutions, each wanting a habitat built around its evolution item on a table with a chair beside it. Most Pokémon recruited elsewhere can also be brought here, alongside a handful found nowhere else. The area is confirmed to hold habitats for the three legendary birds — Articuno, Zapdos, and Moltres — though each needs rare resources and 15 already-recruited Pokémon of the right type to unlock. Basic housing here follows the same rule as elsewhere: four walls of crafted blocks touching the ground, a door, and three pieces of furniture inside. Rebuilding Palette Town’s own Pokémon Center costs 1,000 coins plus 20 lumber, 20 stone, 10 leaf, and 10 vine rope. Its Pokémon Center PC Shop separately unlocks the Antique table recipe once the area’s own Environment Level reaches 5 — see the Milestones page. The area also supports co-op with up to four players.

Still unconfirmed

Beyond the facts above, this guide hasn’t verified Palette Town’s exclusive-only Pokémon roster or further Environment Level specifics.
