A mountain valley under ash

Rocky Ridges is where Pewter City once stood, now a mountain valley covered in volcanic ash. You reach it through a large gate near Onix once you hit Great Trainer Rank. It’s the confirmed source of iron ore and iron ingots — several of the Recipes page’s furniture entries (Iron chair, Iron table) list “found at Rocky Ridges” as their material source.

Opening tasks

Professor Tangrowth leads you to the area’s ruined Pokémon Center, where the first job is moving its PC to an electrical source to power it back up. From there he tells you the region needs Machoke’s help: build a Grassy Training Field (two sandbags next to a 2x2 patch of watered red tall grass — the same grass type as the Red Tall Grass habitat below) to attract one, then talk to it to work out together and learn the Strength move. A separate Red Tall Grass habitat (four watered red grass patches) draws in Scorbunny, who points you toward Machoke in the first place. With Strength learned, you clear volcanic ash off a plateau, collect five stones, and push a boulder to prove you’ve got the hang of it — the same Strength move also lets you clear blockages and reopen the area’s vegetable garden.

Time to Party! — Chef Dente and DJ Rotom

After rescuing Chef Dente — a Greedent who’s decked herself out with kitchen tools and a cooking-pot hat, holding the game’s only Party specialty — and finding DJ Rotom, the area’s main quest becomes throwing a party at the Pokémon Center. Ask DJ Rotom “How’s the mood right now?” to check progress toward the 100 Mood points needed; Balloons and other decorations help, and giving DJ Rotom a CD or two gets it asking for a Pokémon with the Hype specialty, like Ludicolo. At 100 Mood, Chef Dente can cook a Party Curry in the Party Cooking Pot once it’s stocked with the right ingredients — it takes about six minutes.

What else is confirmed

Its Pokémon Center PC Shop runs its own Environment-Level-gated unlock track, separate from Withered Wasteland’s. Human Records collectibles confirmed in this area include a newspaper about a new artificial hot spring and a letter titled “You’ve Been Selected!” — see Collectibles for the sourced list.
