Quantum Mechanics
The physics of the very small — probabilities, superposition, and entanglement.
Quantum mechanics replaced determinism with probability amplitudes. A particle does not have a definite position until measured; it exists in a superposition of states described by the wave function. Entanglement links distant particles so that measuring one instantly constrains the other — not by sending a signal, but by revealing a pre-existing correlation that defies classical explanation. The measurement problem remains open: does the wave function collapse, or do worlds branch?
